What is wrong with Kate? What does she see in Sawyer? He is mean, his hair is greasy and he is only looking out for himself. I think his only redeeming quality is his bottomless well of funny and fitting nicknames for everyone. I got so wrapped up in the episode tonight that I found myself yelling at the TV (to my husband's amusement), "Don't sleep with Sawyer! Sleep with Jack!" Jack is pretty much perfect.
It is funny how you can hate someone's character on one show (Charlie on Party of Five, Tess on Roswell) and love them on another show (Jack and Clare on Lost).
How did Kate end up with Aaron? What happened to Clare? Why doesn't Jack want to see Aaron? Who got left behind on the Island and why did they stay? Who is the 6th Oceanic 6? Why is Clare so cheerful when she found out that Charlie died a couple days ago?
Velocity, I expect you to comment on this!

Okay here's my thoughts. You already know my feelings about the whole Jack and Sawyer thing. While I could see the initial attraction for Sawyer, I can't understand the persistance. Since we're speaking opening (if I lived in the real world) Sawyer would be the kind of guy you slept with once but you woke up in the morning and thought "What did I do that for?" As for Jack, my sweet, broken-and-needs-a woman-to-fix-him, tatooed Jack, I also can't unnderstand why Kate isn't mending that heart of his instead of adding to it's pain.
And as far as Aaron goes, here's my theory. We found out last year that Claire and Jack are brother and sister. I think Jack will find this out and then will be unable to save Claire from death on the island. He will be racked with guilt and Aaron will be too much for him to handle are worst yet maybe he and Kate have some hand in Claire's death in order to save Aaron from the island. I don't see Jack taking part in such an act but there are a lot of things that have happened on this island that I didn't see coming. (Like Claire being so happy-go-lucky after Charlie's very recent death.)
So the other member of the 6 has to be whoever is in that coffin. So it's someone Jack calls neither friend or family but it is some he cares for and someone who he thought more of the six would care for as he was suprised to be the only one who attended the viewing. Locke? but why would Locke ever leave his beloved island. Speaking of this episode why did Jack tell the other doctor at the hospital to go get his dad and if he wasn't as drunk or drunker than he was they could fire him. Isn't Jack's dad dead? Wasn't the whole reason Jack went to Austrial to find his dad and bring him home and instead he found him dead?
I'm kinda upset that next week we won't be finding out who this 6th person is, I think it's going to be a wasted episode on Sied (sp?) and Desmond where no questions are answered?
I too did not like Charlie on Party of Five, back then Bailey was the guy. Could it be our age? Back then we were drawn to the sweet teen because we were teens ourselves and now that we're mature women we go for a MAN!!
This comment was so long that I probally should have done a post. Sorry.
Ms. Jones
ms. jones, thanks for commenting and posting! I love your lost comments! I can't understand Kate either. How can she not fall in love with Jack? He is handsome, a doctor (hey there is a nod to mr. Jones), caring, a leader, smart and all of those things make him totally sexy!
I think she really does love Jack but is afraid to put her heart out their to someone so good. The last time she did, she had to break a guys heart because her past caught up with her. Maybe she thinks that if she let Jack in and he really knew her, especially the old her, he would walk away which would kill her. Sawyer is safe in that his past screams of indecretions as well so who is he to judge her. Jack is a whole new ballgame for the reasons you've already listed.
