Teen Crafts

Does anyone have any good ideas for crafts to do with preteens and teenagers? I might get to go to girl's camp and help in the craft shack and want to start getting prepared early. Or even if you know of some websites that would be helpful, please comment. Thanks!

Finger knitting rocks. See instructions at http://www.knitty.com/issuesummer06/FEATfingerknitting.html

I've done this activity with my activity day girls and in YW and it was a hit. You can make great little scarves with finger knitting and its even better if you can get your hands on some fluffy unusual yarns.

Painting/signing pillowcases is always a big hit. You can use permanent markers or paint pens and let them decorate them and sign each other's pillowcases.

You could also let them make & decorate photo frames and do digital photos & prints of them & their friends to put in them.

Hey those are great ideas gals! Thanks! I am seriously considering making a duct tape wallet for myself. I wanted camo with a hot pink lining, but Walmart only carries the ugly hunting type camo with leaves on it probably because this here's huntin' country. Also Nascar country I just found out. Apparently it is like soccer in Spain. If a game is on all the cabs pull over and listen to the game and no one will serve you at a restaurant because they are too busy watching Nascar. Crazy huh? Anything like that where you guys are?
